Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- ⅓ cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- ½ onion, finely grated
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 tbsp ketchup + 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Mix patty ingredients and form into 4 oval steaks. Brown in a skillet 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté onions and mushrooms until soft.
- Sprinkle flour and cook for 1 minute. Gradually whisk in beef broth and mustard. Simmer until thickened.
- Return patties to the skillet and simmer in gravy for 10 minutes until cooked through.
- Serve with mashed potatoes and green beans.
Notes
- Use 80/20 ground beef for juicier patties.
- Add a splash of cream for extra richness.
